This weekend, as we enjoy the freedoms they fought to preserve, let's also take a moment to express our gratitude. Whether, it's visiting a local memorial, flying the flag at half-mast, or simply sharing stories of loved ones who served, every gesture of remembrance matters.
Let us also not forget the families left behind—the spouses, children, and parents who carry the heavy burden of loss every day. Their sacrifices are also part of the fabric of our nation's history.
So, as we soak up the sunshine and revel in the company of friends and family and delicious food, let's do so with reverence and gratitude. Let's remember that freedom comes with sacrifice and that we owe an immeasurable debt to those who did for it. This Memorial Day, let's honor their memory and ensure that their sacrifices are never forgotten.
